It was presented many years ago to customers by the Ries Furniture Company, South Bend, Indiana when they bought furniture in their store. It is made of cedar wood and has a lock on it, (but the key is missing).

Folk Art Handpainted Round Storage or Pantry Box This is a vintage Shaker style storage or pantry round box with handpainted decorations, which include birds, flowers, a Dutch boy and girl and greenery. It measures 5-1/2 inches tall and 11-1/4 inches wide. I'm not good at identifying woods so will not try. It is in excellent condition except for a small section at the end of rolled construction that needs to be glued or stapled...it's a small repair and will leave it to the buyer.
