Dresden Plate Quilt ~ Hand Stitched ~ Cone Border Offering a lovely old Dresden Plate hand sewn quilt for your consideration.
This one measures 70x86 inches. White background and backing. Hand pierced and hand appliqued dresden plates in a variety of 1930s feedsack and floral prints. Quilting is an even hand stitched 7 spi (stitches per inch). It has an ice cream cone border with a green edging. The quilt is in excellent condition for the age. It does have a few worn petals on one of the plates (see picture) where a silky fabric was used and could easily be replaced. It also has a spot that looks like a water spot that is about 3 inces across...not serious.
