Vintage Red Wing Pottery Teapot
This vintage Red Wing Pottery Deco Style Teapot with embossed brown and yellow floral pattern was made in the early 1940s. In Moran's Red Wing Pottery, 2005 edition, page 167, this design is shown in a Dripolator coffee pot as No. 252. This teapot is marked with incised 252, Redwing, USA on bottom. Measuring approximately 7'' tall and 10'' handle to spout, this is a solidly made, heavy teapot. There are two tiny fleabites on the top, inside of spout, a tiny glaze pop on upper rim, blue underglaze speck showing on lower body and two small dark areas underglaze on the bottom--all things common to these vintage pieces. This hard to find Red Wing Pottery teapot will add lots of personality and charm to a vintage kitchen or teapot collection.

Red Wing Hankscraft Aqua Baby Bottle Warmer
Red Wing's Hankscraft Aqua with White Interior Baby or Child's Cup embossed with scenes depicting ''The Old Lady Who Lived In A Shoe'' nursery rhyme. This piece was made in the late 1940s and is pictured in Moran's Red Wing Pottery book, page 174 with a matching warming dish. That book call this a baby cup, but it is larger than most baby's cups. Another book depicting children's dishes calls it a bottle warmer which certainly makes more sense. It measures 3 1/2'' tall and 3 7/8'' in diameter. The bottom is marked with an incised 968 Hankscraft, U.S.A. There is hint of delicate crazing visible on the white interior and a spot of grey on the interior, under the glaze. The embossed nursery rhyme decorations encircle the cup and the detail is sharp and clear. The finish is a satiny, soft gloss glaze. I found a collection of these Hankscraft Bottle Warmers in pink, aqua and blue and bought them all.
