F7OCT28-40

Pink Sterling Etch Depression Sugar and Creamer Panelled Sided Peachy Pink Sugar and Creamer Set with Sterling Overlay Etch. I'm not positive of the maker, however in Doris Yeske's book Depression Glass Dinnerware Accessories, page 46, there is a sugar, creamer and handled tray shown that is identical in shape, but a different etch. She credits Standard (they did the cutting) and Lancaster Glass Companies who were owned by Hocking at the time. The etch is marked STERLING. There is some mold roughness, light wear to top rim, but no chips or cracks.

T6SEP01-12

Hazel Atlas Crystal Depression Beehive Bowl Hazel Atlas made this Large Crystal Handled Beehive Berry Bowl in the 1940s-1950s. Gene Florence placed this pattern in his Depression Glassware book, 2004 edition, but states it should be in the 40s, 50s, 60s era. Measures 10 1/2'' long, 8 1/2'' wide and 3'' tall. Very good condition with no chips, cracks, etc. This bowl has a nice, old-fashioned look--just like Grandmother had.

F7NOV02-22

Depression Glass Hat Shaped Vase This Hat Shaped style Vase was popular in the late 1920s an 1930s era. While I cannot say absolutely, I believe this bowl was made by the Lancaster Glass Company. An identically shaped one is pictured in the original company catalog pages in John Zasowney's book of Lancaster Glass, page 66. The book includes this in their Aztec line which was introducted in 1910. Aztec is noted as crystal with Aztec (marigold) finish and often included in the stretch glass category. The color of this vase is a very pale, shiny golden color (very light marigold). The top rim has gold trim and green and pale purple flowers. There is noticeable wear to the original gold trim. The pinky/purple flowers on the top rim are probably not original. It appears that at some time, the previous owners either touched up or added to the painted top rim design. There is wear to the gold and green painted decorations and the base shows lots of rubbing over the years. Vase measures approximately 6 1/8'' tall and 8 1/4'' in diameter. All things considered, this vase still looks pretty darn good. The charming deco styling of this vase is not one you see very often.
