Mortens Studio Sitting Bull Dog Figurine Sitting Bull Dog Figurine made by Mortens Studio, circa 1940. Mortens specialized in animal figurines, especially dogs. Oscar Mortens used a plaster-like composition over a metal wire frame in the manufacturing. This composition allowed the creation of magnificently detailed, realistic figurines. The plaster/metal composition also is prone to chipping which this bull dog has. There is chipping/flaking of paint on both ears and some scratching of the brown glaze on the backside--see pictures--price reduced to reflect condition. Stamped mark Copyright 296 1/38? Vintage Friday's Angel Porcelain Figurine Vintage Friday's Angel Porcelain Figurine. Unmarked, but likely Napco--very similar to other Napco purchased at the same time. This little angel measures 3 7/8'' tall. She is white with spagetti trim, gold trim and pale blue splashes of color. She appears to be singing as she is holding her music scroll. No chips, cracks or crazing.

Ruffled Lace Porcelain Girl Figurine Little Girl Porcelain Figurine outfitted with dress made of creamy white and pink ruffled lace, topped with gold trim and pink porcelain flowers on her head. She is unmarked (there is a sliver of red sticker left), most likely circa 1950s Japan import like Lefton, Wales, etc. due to the nice quality and the innocent biq-eyed appearance. She stands 5 1/4'' tall. I cannot see any chipping on the lace as the ruffled detail irregular and rough by design. This demure little girl figurine is lovely.

Oftriart Porcelain Colonial Couple Figurines This Pair of Oftriart Figurines depicting a colonial couple are of white porcelain with gold accents. Each measures approximately 4 3/4'' tall and are stamped with the Oftriart mark. These porcelain figurines look very much like ones made in Japan in the 1940s and 1950s. But, research indicates that they are more likely European in origin--either France or Germany. If someone knows for sure, please let me know. Very good condition. Price is for the set of two.

Matte Blue Bauer? Duck Figurine This Vintage Matte Blue Duck Figurine has some of the original orange cold paint remaining on the bill and feet. It has a flat, dry bottom and measures 4 1/2'' long and 2 1/8'' tall. I've seen this figurine identified as Bauer. There is a smeared black mark, a combination of a stamp and black grease pencil I cannot read, so I cannot say for sure. This little matte blue duck figurine is in very good condition.

Bisque Colonial Boy and Dog Figurine Bisque Colonial Boy and Dog Figural measuring 9 3/8'' tall. The boy is holding something in his right hand and the dog is jumping up for it. Unmarked, but most likely made in Japan. It is very similar to a another piece purchased at the same time and marked Arnart Creations, Japan. It is in very good condition with possibly a teeny speck off the end of the little finger, left hand (I can't tell for sure because of the design and it's very difficult to see.)

White Koala Bear Snow Baby Figurine White Koala Bear Snow Baby Style Figurine. This little figurine has the wide-eyed appearane and nubby, spagetti texture of the snow babies made in Germany. This figurine has the red Made in Japan stamp including an S inside a divided circle. That logo is not shown in my Japanese ceramics book. He measures 2 1/2'' tall and is in very good condition. This little koala figurine is adorable.

Japan Josef Originals 8th Birthday Girl Angel Vintage Josef Originals 8th Birthday Girl Angel in yellow with gold trimmed wings made in Japan. Has incised mark on base, gold foil sticker Josef's Original Japan on the side and the folded paperwork with 8 year poem: Now I'm eight, and growing tall, that pencil mark, upon the wall, is very high, and pretty sure, if I don't stop, I'll touch the moon! From George Imports, a division of George Good. Measures 4 5/8'' tall. There is a small glaze pop off the blue bow in her hair but no other chips, cracks, etc. Very sweet!
