7 pc. Antique Brass Finished Dresser Set Antique Brass Finished Dresser Set includes oval vanity tray, powder or puff box, hand mirror, hair brush, comb, and two nail care instruments. The hair brush and hand mirror are quite heavy and longer that more contemporary pieces. The brass (I believe this is brass--there are some tiny specks of green tarnish) is accentuated with blue/green celluloid insert topped with a delicate, lacy brass finished center portion which is itself topped with a floral cameo-like decoration. The tortoise-shell comb has LUMARITH embossed on the side. Lumarith was one of the earliest celluloids made. The comb has one broken tooth, the brass finish has a few tiny specks of discoloration (you may want to polish), the vanity mirror has a couple of tiny, superficial scratches and the hand mirror has a small area of darkening due to age. That said, those small flaws are quite minor and to be expected. This vanity dresser set is in wonderful condition for its age. The previous owner stated that it had been part of his old family homestead. This Dresser Set is a remarkable find and very reasonably priced. Most dresser or vanity items of similar age and style are priced higher than this just for the mirror and hair brush. Considering that this beautiful set has remained intact over the generations, it should remain so for the next lucky owner.
