F6NOV11-7

EAPG Heisey Opal Beaded Swag Covered Butter Dish EAPG Early American Pattern Glass Milk Glass. Heisey Glass Company's Opal Covered Butter Dish in the Beaded Swag pattern, made from 1899-1904. The old glass companies made opal or milk glass to compete with Europe's higher quality porcelain dinnerware. The older Heisey opal EAPG pieces are quite rare because they were only made for a very short time. They are desirable because of the ''fire'' and glow demonstrated when held to the light. This covered butter dish measures 7 1/2'' in diameter and 5 1/2'' tall. There is a small slice off the bottom sitting rim of the base and and a bite on one of the teeth also on the base. Neither is visually destracting--you have to look hard to see them--and quite common in older glassware of this age. This wonderful estate sale find is truly lovely.
Manufacturer: Heisey Glass Co.

T6JUN08-6

US Glass Company Green Colorado Cup Colorado pattern glass footed cup in green with gilded rim and feet made by U.S. Glass Company from 1899-1920. These were sometimes made as souvenirs. This one has Nannie Ballentine 1903 etched on the glass, possibly commemorating a birth, wedding, coming out party, anniversary, etc. There is a tiny fleabite on the tip of one foot, some wear to the gold trim on rim, a small spot (possibly rust and may come out) on the interior as well as some cloudiness on the interior (may also come out, didn't want to scrub too much). Aging flaws aside, this cup is actually in good vintage--actually antique--condition.

T7DEC21-19

US Glass EAPG Prism Column Footed Pitcher EAPG Early American Pattern Glass Tall Footed Pitcher in the Prism Column pattern, made by US Glass Company, circa 1892. This pitcher is clear crystal and had gold trim, much of which has worn away over time. It is a four-part mold and measures 9 1/2'' tall and 8 1/4'' wide (handle to spout) and 5'' front to back. There are a few teensy fleabites on one of the mold lines, and a few faint superficial scratches from use. There is one mark on the interior which may be a scratch mark from stirring (but you cannot feel it at all), but is probably a straw or annealing mark from manufacture. The classic styling makes a nice addition to your EAPG collection.

T8JUL04-4

Pattern Glass Vase in E&J Bass Silverplate Holder Pattern Glass Vase in an E&J Bass Sheffield Silverplate Holder. E&J Bass was in business from 1890-1930 in New York. The silver holder is marked E&JB, Sheffield, U.S.A. and the glass vase is marked E&JB also. The vertical ribbed vase has an etched flower on the raised ovals and a laurel-like etch on the upper rim. The vase including the holder is 7'' tall and 3 1/4'' in diameter. The silver plated holder needs a good polishing and there are a couple of specks of wear. The glass has just a slight shallow chip on the bottom from rubbing against the sides of the silverplate. This is quite a unique vase.

F8SEP13-4

Lotus Glass Silver Gothic Plantagonet aka Parson Bowl Lotus Glass Decorating Company Decorated This Beautiful Large Console Bowl with Heavy Sterling Silver Overlay on the #902 Gothic Plantagonet AKA Parson Etch from the 1920s era. (Pictured in Hazel Marie Weatherman's book of Colored Glassware of the Depression Era). Pattern depicts silver medallions dipping down into the etched pattern of plumes/scrolls and urns. Hopefully the pictures will show the incredible detail on this bowl. Bowl measures 13'' in diameter and 3 1/2'' tall. There are no chips or cracks. While the silver overlay appears somewhat worn, we believe it has darkened and could be polished for more shine. (We like the way it looks now.) This elegantly designed bowl is an incredible find!

F5DEC-17

EAPG Pattern Glass Mustard Castor with Silver Top EAPG Early American Pattern Glass Mustard Jar? Castor Bottle with a fern and berry etch pattern and Silver Top. Pattern and maker unknown. The pattern is similar to Baby Thumbprint aka Dakota--but not quite the same. Measures 5 1/2'' tall and 1 7/8'' in diameter. The silver top is likely silverplated as there are no visible hallmarks. No spoon. Very good condition with no chips or cracks. The top has not been polished, but should shine nicely if done. The original owner said her grandmother used this as a syrup/honey jar. It would originally have been part of a Victorian era castor set, but is quite elegant on it's own.
