Vintage Handmade Folk Art Southwestern Hand Mirror
Very unusual, colorful vintage handmade Folk Art Southwestern or Mexican Style Hand Mirror. This is likely a one-of-a-kind mirror hand made by the original owner. Quite a bit of time went into its making. It is handpainted in yellow, white and browns with thin, decorative rope-like trim decoratively placed on a layered design topped with a yellow glass decorative stone. There is a little wear present -- a small chip of paint off the top edge (could be re-touched if you wish) on both sides and a little darkening (don't think it was original to the design) around the rope/glass (may come off, but didn't want to clean to hard) and the mirror is showing its age a little. Please view all the pictures to see the detail. This is a wonderful piece for mirror collectors or Southwestern / Mexican folk art collectors.

Brown Wood Bead Oval Mirror
Interesting Oval Mirror framed with triple rows of brown wooden beads and beaded hanging loop. It is unmarked, probably handmade. The wood beads used are similar to the colored wood beaded handbags from the 1940s. Mirror measures 16'' tall (not including the hanger) and 10'' wide. The backside has a wooden backer. The mirror has some cloudiness, no chips. There are a couple of small paint rubs on the underside which are not visible when hung. The hanger could be removed and the mirror used as a vanity mirror.
