Old Brown Glazed Stoneware Buttermilk or Batter Pitcher with Embossed Diamond pattern. Unmarked as the truly old USA pottery companies rarely marked their ware until the late 1930s. This pitcher measures 5'' tall, 4 1/4'' wide and 6 3/4'' long (handle to spout). There is one tiny glaze pop on one side. You can see a few manufacturing flaws that are glazed over. Those flaws give vintage American pottery their charm. Maker is unknown--could be Morton, RRP, McCoy or Western. This pitcher makes a wonderful country collectible. |
