Brush-McCoy Pottery Company 8'' Green Onyx #064 Vase pictured on page 46 of the Sanfords Guide to Brush-McCoy Pottery, Book 1. Vase is marked 064 on the base and measures 8 1/4'' tall and 4 1/2'' in diameter. There are the typical glaze skips and pops from manufacturing. There is a also a tiny pinpoint speck where the glaze popped directly above a tight, stable hairline approximately 1'' long. It's difficult to see unless pointed out, but you can feel it. These old Brush McCoy Onyx pieces have such depth and individual character, they make one really appreciate vintage American pottery. |
