Manufacturer: Unknown
Heavy vintage USA Stoneware Jardiniere Flower Pot with thickly embossed shell and scroll design in a salmon color glaze accented with blue top rim and white interior. Marked only with an incised number 8. The base has a raised rim, dry bottom with a tan colored clay visible. Unsure as to maker, but definitely vintage USA pottery and likely from the 1930s era. The white interior lining suggests UHL, but it could be Brush McCoy, Zanesville, Hull, Monmouth, Morton, Burley-Winter, etc. Measures 6 3/4'' tall and 8 5/8'' diameter and has thick side walls. Has a small slice off the bottom setting ring which does not affect stance or appearance, a couple of pin-point glaze pops and glaze skips from manufacturing. Overall very good condition on this vintage jard or flower pot. |
