bronze German Shepherd dog bookends matched pair of bookends comprised of bronze dogs that look like German Shepherds mounted on black highly veined marble. Most likely German or French in origin. Art Deco era circa 1920. Fine dark almost black patina is in near perfect condition, showing no wear or blemishes. brass Hendryx bird cage/house circa 1920 house form Made of solid brass and signed Hendryx on front door and again on the floor.

This is the rare house form cage they all ask for. In super condition with nice mellow patination from age. Complete with sliding bottom tray, heart decorated feed and water doors, ring perch and mirror. Also several more wood perches.

Patterned after several popular styles of the 20's, Arts and Crafts, Prairie style, or even the Chinese oriental style home, You find this model only rarely.

Some folks spell it Hendricks or Hendrix.


Only thing missing from this are the porcelain feed and water dishes. They are available without too much searching.

brass with bronze patinated copper body on white alabaster base w/cream bakelite numerals in working order with original cord and plug made by Lawson Clock Co, Los Angeles, California and designed by one of the best product designers of the early 20th century, KEM Weber who was also the architect of most of Disney Productions buildings.
This model has rarely surfaced on the markets and would be hard to duplicate in this condition. Truly a museum quality piece of outstanding design.
