Silver on copper hand chased folding bookstand Sheff.
Folding bookstand marked with English marks indicating Sheffield maker, Nathaniel Smith & Co, 1784-1849. Ends hand hammered to depict Louis Philippe and Marie Amelie, 11 1/2inch lg X 4inch wd X 5 1/4inch ht.The bookstand was probably produced about 1809 in honor of Louis and his wife's marriage. Silver is intact.
