~Fabulous 1930s, '40s Fur Fiber Silk Lined Swing Coat~
This gorgeous coat possibly dates from the very early 1930s. I believe this is so from the styling which is influenced by the 1920s somewhat. The sleeves and the main body of the coat are cut in one piece. There are closely topstitched lines of stitching across the back that wrap around across to the front and across part of the sleeves. The inside is lined with the most beautiful satin striped silk in earthy shades of grey and black. Even the label seems to suggest the 1930s to me...See what you think. I have listed in the 1940s category only because we have not yet created a 1930s coat and outerwear category...so it looks like I need to get busy there... The cuffs on the coat turn back...and the cut slightly swings out toward to lower hem in an a-line fashion. Coat is in wonderful condition. No moths have ever got near this. The wool or "fur" is in perfect condition. There are a few stitches loose in the liner but I will repair this before shipping. This will fit a medium to large. Bust sizes of 35-38 inches, waist and hips are proportionately free up to say, 45 inches or so. Length is 37 inches. Sleeves are full length-23 inches. I cannot give an accurate measurement of the shoulders because of the sleeve styling. This fabulous coat will go with anything in your wardrobe so it is a sure bet. It'll keep you looking great and feeling cozy and warm all season long!
