A stunning Murano? cased glass bowl from the 1960’s? in very good condition. A wonderful controlled bubble piece.
About 8 1/8" by 7
3/4" and 2 1/2" tall, it’s a thick, hefty piece of art (weighs about 3 lbs). The exterior casing is either clear. Next layer inward is a pale aqua blue.

On the interior are the controlled bubbles – they fan out in concentric swirls from the middle – raised pearly bubbles with a smattering of gold and a dusting of silver. and each bubble has its own little diamond section surrounding it. The bubble layer is covered with another casing of clear glass. Smooth polished pontil.
It’s a heavy beautiful piece of art glass. |
