Our Feathered Friends Antique book by Phebe Westcott Humphreys Published 1905 By Thompson and Thomas Chicogo. A history of birds and Bird life, their habits, homes and instincts. Based on the highest authorities in natural history, but written in simple language for boys and girls to study. Illustrated.
Some pencil scribbling on the inside of the cover page, see the pic. There are beautiful color pics with copyright stamps 1900, so I believe that this is not the 1st edition. The photos are "life size" that are in color for some pics. Pages are in tact, with spotting on some, binding outside is in tact, but has separted on the inside, a professional would be able to fix this. And browning on the pages. For a book that is 101 years old, it is in good condition.

PAINTED SILHOUETTE CONVEX GLASS
This little pic measures with the frame 5.5 inches long and 4.5 inches wide. This is a reverse silhouette on bubble glass, with the original wood frame.
The glass has chips on the corners and along the edges of the glass where the frame is, but is not cracked chipped or broken on the pic, so it is hidded, the frame shows where with knicks and house paint spatters on it, but these are a harder to come by, and still a nice piece of history.

Antique Grease Crock
This antique stoneware crock/jug could be McCoy, RRP, UHL, Zanesville pottery. After many hours of research, the closest I came to finding very similar photos of this jug is on the forementioned potters. All I do know about this jug is that grandfather had it and it was passed down to dad with the farm. It can possibly date back to the 1800's back in great grandfathers time. This jug/crock at one time had a lid with a wire clamp. It stored rendered grease/fat. It is very difficult to find these grease pots with the lid and wire clamp in tact. It is 9 inches high,7 inches wide base,and 4.25 inch wide mouth. I was told that this was hand thrown and glazed. The inside of the pot is chocolate brown as is the outside upper part of the jug. The rest of the body and the top of the rim is a light sand color. There are no cracks. There are three pottery bloopers on the outside wall of the jug. There are 4 chips around the mouth, 2 chips on the ledge, and 1 at the bottom of the jug and a glaze scrape on the bottom. For it being minimum of 100 years old, I think that this jug is doing very well in condition. In a book on monmouth western stoneware shows similar preserves/jam crocks. McCoy,RRP,UHL and Zanesville made a lot of preserve crocks similar to this one in the 1800's.

Antique Brass Door Knobs
Antique brass door knobs, in nice condition, one has a dent on the knob, there is some paint on them. They are two different styles, one smooth all around, the other has a ridge around the knob. Price is for both.
Nice for redecortating the home to it's original beauty.

Lace Baby Christening gown
This lovely Edwardian christening gown is adorable! Measuring only 7" shoulder seam to shoulder seam, and 32 " long, how it has survived all these years boggles my mind. The lace trimming is so delicate, and I don't see any damage, they are what seems to be tiny flowers, even the ribbon in ivory color seems to be intact, with some fraying, and the cuffs are beutifully trimmed in lace view the pictures!

Blown Art Glass Fruit
This lovely art glass banana, and pear are in very nice condition.
No chips or cracks. The banana is a blown glass that is clear with pigments of green yellow and ornage. The pear seems to be more of a solid color, and these are very nice!

Wow this is a knock out!
15 inches base to top stretched up, this lamp is in ver nice condition!
Used as a student study desk lamp, piano lamp.
Original brown finish, the cast iron base has 3 slots for pens or pencils, and 2 side wells for clips, stamps, etc.
Circa 1910-1940
I plugged it in and it works great!

Here is a great blast from the past! Antique wood butter press, hand made. As most were. Some lifting of the wood on all 4 corners of the box.The press is included Fine lines on the press make for the design for the butter.The press is 5.5 inches long & 4.6 inches wide.The box the butter is put into is 5.25 inches long & 4.25 inches high. My grandmother who made her butter in a wooden butter churn then made pound blocks using the butter press.It is difficult to find these authentic pieces. Great to add to a collection of antique tools.

Delux Family Scale
1930-1940 Family Scale, makers name Pelou... and the rest is worn made in Chicago #19110. Measuring 8.5 inches tall, this old heavy scale has rust on it, and the numbers are worn off and re written in marker. Worn all around, and a dent in the base. The needle adjuster works.

Antique Wood Picture Frame
This frame is wonderful! Hand cared flowers along the edge. The picture size would be 9.5 inches by 7.5 inches, the frame itself is 13.5 inches by 11.25 inches. There is a couple of knicks on the inside corners, over all in good condition. A beautiful piece!
