Antique Preserves Crock ANTIGUE PRESERVES CROCK---OVER 100 YEARS OLD---GRANDFATHER HAD THIS SINCE 1905---CROCK COULD VERY WELL BE OLDER--DON'T KNOW IF GREAT GRANDAD HAD CROCK PRIOR TO GRANDFATHER OR IT CAN GO BACK TO GREAT GREAT GRANDADAT ONE TIME THERE WAS A LID WITH A WIRE CLAMP ON THE CROCK.NOWADAYS ,IT IS DIFFICULT TO FIND THESE IN TACT WITH ALL THE LIDS AND HARDWARE.GRANDMOM HAD USED THIS AS A GREASE POT. ONE GALLON CROCK 8.5 INCHES HIGH;BASE 7 INCHES IN DIAMETER; MOUTH--4.25 INCHES IN DIAMETER.HAND THROWN AND GLAZED IS WHAT I WAS TOLD. CHOCOLATE BROWN IN THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE UPPER PART;THE REST OF THE CROCK IS A LIGHT SAND COLOR.THERE ARE 3 SHAVED CHIPS ABOUT THE RIM;2 SMALLER CHIPS ABOUT THE RIM;NO CRACKS;SOME FLEA BITES;6 SMALL CHIPS AROUND LEDGE OF THE CROCK;ONE CHIP ON THE BASE;SOME POTTERY GLITCHES.I HAVE TRIED TO SHOW ALL ON THE PHOTOS.OTHERWISE A SWEET PIECE.MAKES A GREAT RUSTIC VASE.THERE IS ANOTHER LIKE THIS ONE ON BABA'S ATTIC JUST INCASE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PAIR OF FLOOR VASES.THESE AREN'T TOO BIG TO USE ON END TABLES EITHER OR ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION OF CROCKS.  

BLUE & WHITE ORIENTAL TRANSFERWARE DEMITASSI SAUCERS 2 ASIAN DEMITASSI BLUE & WHITE TRANSFERWARE 5 INCH SAUCERS OF JAPANESE WOMAN,FLOWERS, BUDS,LEAVES ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.NO FADING OF THE COLORS WHICH ARE BRIGHT & CRISP.THE EDGE IS TRIMMED IN ZIG ZAG LINES WITH FINER BLUE LINES IN BETWEEN.THERE IS A GLAZE FLAW BY JAPANESE WOMAN ON ONE SAUCER. THE BACK IS ALL WHITE WITH NO MARKINGS OF MAKER. THERE IS NO CRACKS,CHIPS,STAINS OR CRAZING.ASK QUESTIONS.PLEASE CHECK OUT THE PHOTOS.

VINTAGE LILING YUNG SHEN PORCELAINE CHINA BOWL VINTAGE PORCELAIN LILING 8 1/4 INCH SERVING BOWL OR PASTA/SOUP BOWL IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. I DON'T KNOW THE NAME OF THE PATTERN.THE GOLD TRIM AROUND THE EDGE HAS APPROXIMATELY 20% WEAR.THE GOLD COLOR LEAVES USED TO TRIM THE BOWL & THE YELLOW, BLUE,MAROON,MAUVE FLOWERS,& THE GREEN LEAVES HAVE A GOLD IRRIDESCENCE TO THEM. THERE ARE SOME UTENSIL MARKS.THE BACK HAS MARKINGS IN BLACK INK OF 2 DRAGONS LILING FINE CHINA MADE IN CHINA YUNG SHEN.PLEASE EXCUSE THE FLASH--THE WHITE SPLOCHES ON THE BOWL ARE FLASH FROM CAMERA.

MEDALTA POTTERIES VITRIFIED WARE DINNER PLATE Here is a Medalta Potteries vitrified ware 9.25 inch wide dinner plate with oval swirls decorating the edge, some-what like a peacock feather type of decoration.No chips or cracks or stains.
There is a tiny bit of utensil marks. The face of the plate is a lush rich pink color.The back is white with a green ink stamp that has printing and writing saying MADE BY MEDALTA IN CANADA VITRIFIED WARE. Medalta Potter-ies closed its doors in 1966,therefore the value shall increase over time.Stoneware fired over much higher temperatures then earthenware is a vitrified pottery.To what I understand that Medalta Potteries began around 1910.Please forgive the photos.They do not show the very rich pink color as it really is.The photos are very light pink.  

MEDALTA POTTERIES REDCLIFF MEDICINE HAT SPONGEWARE Authentic rare gorgeous Medalta Spongeware round oven ware 7 inches wide & 2.75 deep with a lid.This is one of a kind. There is no two alike.No chips,stains or cracks.The interior is natural tan clay color with a shiny glaze as is the underside of the lid.The nob on the lid has a neck,is round & has a dip on top that fits a thumb tip nicely.The outside of the ovenware & the top of the lid has a sponged pat-tern of blues,powder blue,light brown, & dark brown.The bottom has MEDALTA POTTERIES REDCLIFF ALTA. M CANADA printed in black ink in a thin black lined circle.There is a lot of very fine crazing throughout the lid & bowl. Also the bowl has a flat handle on each side.This piece is heavy.The history that I have found is that Medalta Potteries & Medicine Hat Pot-teries operated in the 1920's-1940's. They made large quantities of stone-ware utilitarian vessels before the age of plastics.The same pottery comp-any also was run in Redcliff,Alberta but which set of years ,I don't know. Redcliff is next door to Medicine Hat. They closed for good in 1966.So you won't find these treasures so readily. Also the value will consistantly increase over time.  

VINTAGE PORCELAIN MOTHER OF PEARL HORSE FIGURE ORNAMEN Measuring 10 inches tall. This is a fabulous vintage porcelain horse statue in mother of pearl.The horse is in a rearing position.Very beautiful.Also in excellent condition There are no markings.No chips or cracks.The statue is hollow with the bottom open & glazed in the inside as well as the outside. This would be a great gift for the collector of anything to do with horses. nh
 

Beautiful Pottery Tea Pot by Lynda This locally made ceramic/Pottery mini teapot is a little over 3 inches high.The blue lid is;almost 2 inches wide.This teapot holds 1 cup.The top half of the body and handle is a steel blue color and the bottom half is; a light tan color.The bottom of the lid is blue in the middle and the outside of the bottom of the lid is tan color.The inside of the pot has blue glaze around the inside upper opening with the rest of the interior in light tan color.;As you see in the photo there are some imperfections in the fireing. No chips, cracks,stains or crazing.A perfect little teapot.The bottom is signed in writing Lynda; 95'. A sweet little one of a kind piece for use for a cup of tea or for decoration or for adding to a collection of hand made pottery.  

Blue and white transferware decorated vintage dish HERE IS A BLUE & WHITE PORCELAIN TRANSFER WARE WHICH IS A UKRAINIAN OR GERMAN WOMAN SITTING ON A TRUNK OR BENCH. THE MEASUREMENTS ARE 5 INCHES TALL; 4 INCHES LONG; 2.75 INCHES WIDE.THE SECRET COMPARTMENT THAT THE TOP OF THE BENCH COVERS IS 3 3/8 LONG & 1 3/8 WIDE.THIS IS SIGNED C. Apxunofa.PERHAPS UKRAINIAN OR GERMAN.THIS IS ABOUT 15 YEARS OLD OR SO.IT CAME FROM EUROPE.  

Shafford Japan This pre 1940's little pirate face Toby teapot is 5 inches tall,holds 1-2 cups of tea,is in good condition,the sword is the handle & there is crazing giving the teapot a beauty it deserves. It needs a bit of cleaning around the handle.The colors are--brown asian face,off white & black beard,a zig zag forest green collar, the bandanna around the head is also forest green with lite blue dots.The bottom has markings in black ink.'HAND PAINTED' & 'JAPAN' in capital letters, with 'Shafford' in writing in black ink.No chips or cracks.The spout has a swirl design.There is some wear on the paint but nothing extensive.  

VINTAGE WADE HEATH ENGLAND EARTHEN DISH BOWL WONDERFULY EMBOSSED VINTAGE WADE HEATH EARTHEN DISH 6 3/4 INCHES WIDE HAS AN IRREGULAR EDGE TRIMMED IN GREEN.THE INSIDE OF THE BOWL IS ALL CARVED IN LEAVES WITH A BROWN STEM FOR A HANDLE.THERE ARE 3 UNIQUE YELLOW FLOWERS ENVELOPED IN GREEN LEAVES & 7 MAUVE & RED FLOWERS ALL OF WHICH ARE AROUND THE STEM.THE BACKGROUND IS A RICH TAN COLOR.A GREEN INK MARK ON THE BACK OF THE DISH SAYS WADE HEATH ENGLAND IN PRINT.BECAUSE OF THE CLAY TYPE,THERE IS A DARK SPOT ON THE BACK AS WELL AS IT SHOWS ON TOP OF THE DISH.DEFINATELY VERY NICE & I DON'T THINK IT TAKES AWAY FROM THE VALUE NOR FROM THE BEAUTY.
