This is a beautiful oval serving platter measuring 12.5; inches long and 9.25 inches wide.
On the back is in writing "Yellow Rose,Hand painted,Japan."
The golden yellow,light yellow flowers are bright and the leaves and stems are in a steel green color--light and dark mix.
Lots of crazing on platter.I have no idea how old this is.
As you see on the photo; there;is a bit of darkening amongst the crazing on the platter. There are no cracks.
On the photo you can see a long dark line but that is not a crack.It does not go through to the outside of the platter.There is also a spot of darkening on the underside on each side of platter and a small chip on the ridge on the bottom of the platter that the platter sits on. |
