This book come from an elderly lady who was married for 60 years a few years ago. T
he book is very well worn to the point of the cover being faded and the pages yellowed.

I can barely make out the writing on the hard cover saying "BLUE RIBBON "in blue color "TWENTY FIRST EDITION COOK BOOK"
It also has a few hand written recipes such as---Pork Sausage---Rum and Butter Cake----Dill;;; Pickles (no vinegar)----In towards the back there are brightly colored pages in blue ,red,and yellow telling how to make Blue Ribbon Tea and Coffee and advertisement pages about Blue Ribbon Coffee,Blue Ribbon Baking Powder,Pure flavoring extracts etc.
It has help for table service and how to do many things.I cannot find any place the copywrite year.
This book was a must for all housewives to help them with all the kitchen duties including foods and its uses,food for children, adults , aged, how to reduce in weight, how to gain in weight, meal planning, etc.
There are a 144 numbered pages and 15 unnumbered pages in which the index, advertisements and hand written recipes are. |
