This pre 1940's little pirate face Toby teapot is 5 inches tall,holds 1-2 cups of tea,is in good condition,the sword is the handle & there is crazing giving the teapot a beauty it deserves. It needs a bit of cleaning around the handle.The colors are--brown asian face,off white & black beard,a zig zag forest green collar, the bandanna around the head is also forest green with lite blue dots.The bottom has markings in black ink.'HAND PAINTED' & 'JAPAN' in capital letters, with 'Shafford' in writing in black ink.No chips or cracks.The spout has a swirl design.There is some wear on the paint but nothing extensive. |
