Advertising - Mr. Peanut Set - Planters Peanuts A 6-piece advertising set for " Mr. Peanut" consisting of a master bowl, with 4 small tin serving bowls, and a red plastic serving spoon. All bowls have a picture of Mr. Peanut in center, with "Mr. Peanut" written below his picture. The spoon has Mr. Peanut at end of handle and "Planters" written on the front of the spoon, and "Made in USA" on the rear. Bowls are a stamped with graphics of the salted peanuts around the sides inside, and the outsides are a patterned of leaves in a gold color, with a rim trimmed in solid gold color. All the bowls are marked "Made in U.S.A. on the bottom. Condition: very good, very minor scratches in bowl bottoms. Size: master bowl 6 inches across, 1 ¼ inch height; spoon is 5 ¾ inches and width of 1 ¾ inches. Smaller bowls are 2 7/8 inches across and ¾ inch height.
This tin set probably dates to 1939, and the plastic spoon is a later piece, probably from the 1960's.

Vintage Advertising Ice Tongs, “Schory & Schellhase” A nice set of old advertising ice tongs used years ago in the icehouse for moving the large blocks. This one has a very nice wood handle that is marked " Our Ice Made From Pure Deep Drilled Well Water - Schory & Schellhase" The rest is worn but it has the phone number and a saying. I can make out "Good Refrigeration – Perfect Refrigeration". The double hinged tongs are 14" long and will open 15 ½" wide. A very set with a great patina.

Tin – CRAWFORD’S Maple Syrup – 1984 This little tin, is in the shape of a log cabin, and the chimney is the spout. Measures 3 3-4 inches length, 3 inches width, and 4-1/4 inches in height, and in nice condition. Has graphics of people & animals on all sides, with writing on bottom.

Tang Pitcher – Advertising Pitcher In the 1950’s thru the early 1960’s a popular breakfast drink was called Tang. Here is a one quart pitcher with "Tang/ Brand" written on both sides of the base in the glass, and the rest of the glass is decorated with a swirl design. Bottom glass is marked with the Anchor Hocking trademark, as well as the numbers 16 & 6. The height of this is 9-1/4 inches, with a base measurement of 4 ½ inches across, in nice condition, with very minor scuffing to the orange plastic on the lid.

Heinz – Advertising – Bottle Opener A Heinz 57 jar and cap opener, made to carry on a key chain. One side has written: 57 – Heinz – est. 1869, and the other side has written directions to operate. Condition: mild rust, as shown.

Wm Rogers & Son - Sunny Jim Spoon – Advertising – Force Cereal 1902 An advertising spoon from a 1902 trade character who advertised for Force cereal. A full body pose of "Sunny Jim" is in the bowl of the spoon, holding a box of the "Force" cereal. Size: Spoon measures 5 5/8 inches in length and is stamped on the rear handle: Wm. Rogers & Son AA Condition: Needs polishing

Advertising - 1950’s PY-O-MY Baking Mixes - Square Pan The 1950’s began the first of the ready mix items. Post war Mom’s were realizing they were not as bound to their kitchens as much as their mothers had been, and having to cook everything from scratch, and so began the market for ready made mixes, and other conveniences. This pan is a 7 by 7 inch square and just under 1 inch in depth. This is a nice advertising item for Py-O-MY baking mixes, and that is written in the bottom. This has been used, so has dents, scratches and minor rust, that I expect would clean off with a bit of effort, plus adds to it’s character and is appropriate for its age.

Advertising Pin – Big Boy Club – Big Boy Restaurant / Frisch’s An advertising pin, from the Big Boy restaurant, which reads: I am a member of the Big Boy Club. The graphics are orange and white, its shape is round and it measures 1-1/8 inches across. Big Boy restaurants are called Frisch’s Big Boy, in Ohio and some surrounding states. Some rust to back pin.

Chalet Inn Crock Crock which once contained 9 oz. Chalet Cheese Spread, manufactured by Chalet Inn, Wapakoneta, Ohio. Complete with bail closure and rubber ring, it stands 4-1/4 inches height to rim, 5-3/4 to top of bail, and is 3-1/4 inches across and nicely painted on two sides and around the rim in browns. Still has its label, though is shows wear.

Sterling China - Restaurant Ware - Nino's Platter – Steer Border Design Vintage advertising; Sterling China- Restaurant Ware Platter. Platter is in nice shape with no chips or cracks, and measures 9-3/4 inches length by 7-3/8 inches width and has advertising from Nino's Steak Round-Up Restaurant. This platter has 19 horned steer / cows along the edges and is back-stamped: Sterling – Vitrified China – East Liverpool – Ohio – U.S.A. – M-4. Has some manufacturing defects of extra paint in places on rim and one speck in platter.

Advertising – Boscul Peanut Butter Glass – Pink Petunia A 5-inch tumbler in excellent condition, originally contained Boscul Peanut Butter and has three pink petunia’s on the sides and "Petunia" in white lettering near the top rim.

Advertising: Mother’s Oats – Ring Food Mold - A Aluminum ring food mold advertising Mother’s Oats, and has a picture of a mother and child in the center. Size: 5-7/8 inches across and 2 inches height with a center slot for lifting, and has written: Mother’s Oats Ring Mold is written around the mother and child.
Condition: use dents to aluminum
Comments: Mother’s Oats was an early division of the Quaker Oats Company, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Akron, Ohio.

Advertising – Red Handle – Cake Breaker W/Pat. No. Cake breaker with a red handle which has faintly written on the red handle: Compliments Of The Denison Engineering Co. Size: 10-1/2 inches length, and 4 inches width in nice/used condition, the lettering has faded and there are several tiny nicks/ use scratches to the handle. Metal is signed: SCHNEIDER Toledo Pat. No. 1858790. Handle looks like Bakelite, but does not test to be. That patent number was applied for Sept. 21, 1931 and was granted May 17, 1932 to Cale J. Schneider, Toledo, Ohio as a food breaker.
