Advertising - 1950’s PY-O-MY Baking Mixes - Square Pan
The 1950’s began the first of the ready mix items. Post war Mom’s were realizing they were not as bound to their kitchens as much as their mothers had been, and having to cook everything from scratch, and so began the market for ready made mixes, and other conveniences. This pan is a 7 by 7 inch square and just under 1 inch in depth. This is a nice advertising item for Py-O-MY baking mixes, and that is written in the bottom. This has been used, so has dents, scratches and minor rust, that I expect would clean off with a bit of effort, plus adds to it’s character and is appropriate for its age.
