Primitive Vintage Wood Food Slicer - Cabbage Cutter - A A primitive food slicer, vegtable cutter often called a cabbage cutter. It has double adjustable blades; measures 18 inches by 6 inches. Has been repaired on one side by adding an old key, by the wing nut. One blade has a nail missing and a nail that has been replaced. The blades show a slight bit of rust. Both end pieces lift up, for different angles, and to clean. Circa 1870 - Really has character!

Early Primitive Hand Tool Early, hand forged, hand tool. Looks to be a tack hammer and nail-puller, along with some sort of small hatchet. Not sure what it was used for. Measures 6 ½ inches by 3 ¼ inches width. Unusual cast iron tool.

Primitive Vintage Singletree – Harness Yoke for Horse, Mule – Wood & Iron A great singletree yoke in WONDERFUL condition. Was used many years ago, most likely the late 1800’s into the early 1900’s to yoke an animal to a wagon or farm tool like a plow, or hay wagon for working the fields, or pulling a wagon for family transportation. One like this was in the Sears catalog in 1902. It is of iron and wood, and measures about 30 inches (normally the saddle horse size) in length, and has a girth of about 1-½ inches to 2 inches, is very stout. Would make a wonderful garden accessory, could hang plants on each side. The iron runs the top length of the wood then curves around and hooks about 6 inches onto the bottom on each side. Both the side hooks and the top hook is there, and everything is in great shape. Looks like it has been varnished, so there is no rust, just in beautiful condition.

Primitive Buggy Step Buggy step off an old buggy. Is forged of iron and has a 4 ½ inch T shape top attachment, and a foot pad that measures 3 ½ by 4 inches and has a length of about 12 ½ inches. Nice condition, with normal rust.

PRIMITIVE Wash Board - Dated 1897 Primitive wooden wash board, dated on the top 1897 with a flower leaf on each side. The wood slats are very worn from use. Item measures 7inches wide and ¾ inch thick and 19 in length. Has a top ring for hanging, plus a hanging hole off center.

Primitive Wood Slats Box Vintage box, made of wood slats and held together at each corner by wire. Bottom has two wider slats of wood, and the bottom is nailed. Size: 18 inches by 15 inches and a height of 10 ½ inches. Nice condition, slats are all in good condition, except one of the bottom slats has an age crack. Unpackaged weight: 8 pounds

Small Wooden Egg Crate Carrier, Hen Egg Co. An extra small egg crate carrier stenciled on two sides: "HEN EGG CO". It is made of interlocking hardwood slats and has a removable top with a bail handle. Inside there are 2 rows for eggs each will hold 9 eggs. It measures 9 inches by 7-1/2, and is 7 inches height. It is in very good condition, no damage to the wood and the inner cardboard cartons are also in good shape.

Large Vintage Fork – Wooden Handle Great old fork, measures 17 inches length, with an 11-1/8 inch wooden handle and the iron/metal on the end measures 5-7/8 inches and another 3-1/2 inches is tucked inside the wood, making this a well built, sturdy piece, meant to last for many years. Wood has age appropriate use scratches.

Wooden Egg Crate Carrier, Hen Egg Co. This is a large wooden egg crate carrier stenciled on two sides: HEN EGG CO. It is made of hardwood slats and has a removable top with a handle. Inside there are 4 old cardboard egg cartons that hold 30 eggs each. It measures 13inches square by 9-1/2 inches height. This piece is in good / used condition; the wood has no damage and the cardboard cartons are also in good/ used shape.

The Home Vegetable Slicer – 1898 – Catawissa Specialty Mfg. Co. The home vegetable slicer, made by Catawissa Specialty Mfg. Co. – Catawissa Pa and is dated Pat.Feb.22, 1898 on the rear with the directions. Made of all wood frame measuring 20-5/8 inches length and is 3-1/2 inches in width and 2-1/4 inches height to rim, handle extends above that. Has an inner wood box, with a wood handle that slides over six blades safely, so no part of the hand comes into contact with the blades.
Condition: The varnish was applied over the blades and the instructions, seems to have been made that way.
Comments: wonderful old primitive utensil to display has a hole on end for hanging. There are groves on each side as tracts for the unit to move through during use.

Vintage Advertising Ice Tongs, “Schory & Schellhase” A nice set of old advertising ice tongs used years ago in the icehouse for moving the large blocks. This one has a very nice wood handle that is marked " Our Ice Made From Pure Deep Drilled Well Water - Schory & Schellhase" The rest is worn but it has the phone number and a saying. I can make out "Good Refrigeration – Perfect Refrigeration". The double hinged tongs are 14" long and will open 15 ½" wide. A very set with a great patina.

5 Iron Horses/ Mule Shoes – Primitives A collection of used iron horse and mule shoes. The sizes vary and range from 6 ¾ inches to 5 inches in height, held upside down from top to bottom All have some normal rust from age/ use. One still has a few square nails attached. All hand forged by a blacksmith, and are very old,and slightly bent from use.

Primitive Hog Scraper An old primitive hog scraper. Has a metal base, and a wood handle. The metal base measures 4-¼ inches and the wood handle measures 5-¼ inches. Condition: rust and denting to the metal.

Primitive – Hook With Handle A very small hook, attached to a handle. From the size I don’t know what was it’s intended use, perhaps to move ice blocks, as it is too small for a hay hook, or a meat hook. It’s most current use has been as a wall hanging, as there has been added a hanging hook to the back, which I will leave for the new owner to remove if desired. SIZE: handle measures 5 ½ inches in length, metal part 6 inches in length with a hook curve of about 1 ¼ inch. It seems to come thru the tip of the handle and curves over the top, to attach to the wood handle. The wood appears to have split on each side about where the hanger was hung on the back. Very cute item, with minor rust to the iron.

Has some repair nails added later, that don’t seem original to the piece. Blade shows some rust. Nice vintage item for display.
