1935 Hearth & Home Songs – Little Jimmie’s
Offering a paper back song book, printed in 1934 by Asher Sizemore in Louisville Ky., full of Mountain Ballads, Old Hymns, Childrens, and Cowboy songs, as well as information and pictures of the Sizemore family and "Little Jimmie" the radio child star of the 1930’s, with his father Asher. Originally contained 52 songs, and two pages are now missing, and the original selling price was 25 cents. Some pages are loose, but could probably be re-bound, if desired. Nice old piece of Kentucky, Appalachian history of music. Which was broadcast around the world during this time via radio.

Offering a colorful linen post card. Front states " and my wife wanted me to go to the mountains for the view" with c-804 / Copyright Curt Teich & Co., Inc. Unused divided back has " Genuine Curteich – Chicago "C.T. Art-Colortone" Post Card (Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.) Condition: minor corner and edge bumps, and a stain on back as shown in photo. Probably dates to the 1940’s when post cards were so well done, and much in use to communicate short messages prior to the masses having telephones. Now with cell phones, this is really a lost art form as a way to communicate when away from home.
