Collector Plate – Troy Ohio Bicentennial Troy, Ohio (Miami County) 1976 Bicentennial Plate, featuring a picture of the City Hall in the center and: 1776 American Bicentennial 1976 – City Hall Centennial 1876 Troy, Ohio – written around that picture. On the back is written: Commemorative American Bicentennial Plate 1776-1876-1976 Troy City Hall was built in 1876 at a cost of $57,000, including extra’s, such as sidewalks, gutters and an iron railing.

Architect and Supervisor of construction was a Troy contractor, Frank Johnson. Stone for the foundation was quarried in Piqua and brought to Troy on canal boats.

Although extensive remodeling thru the years has changed the appearance, the building still functions as the "Troy City Hall".

The plate measures 10 inches, excellent condition, trimmed in silver at rim, with nice local history.

Collector Plate –St. Joseph Church – Dayton, Ohio – 150th Anniversary "A limited edition of 500 fine porcelain plates with 23K gold edging was created especially for our parish family to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of Saint Joseph Church on this Sunday, November 23, 1997. Saint Joseph Church – 411 East Second Street – Dayton, Ohio" is written on the back of this 8 ½ inch collector plate. The front has a picture of the church and the lettering: Saint Joseph Church – 150th Anniversary – 1847 – 1997. Comes in its original box, and the plate is like new condition.
A nice genealogy collectible for family members whose ancestors attended here over the past 150 years.

Currier & Ives Art Tile – American Winter Scene – Evening Currier & Ives ARTile, from The Galaxy Collection. Measures 6 by 6 inches, with a corked backing, and a ring for wall hanging. This art tile is in original packaging containing information about Currier and Ives, printmakers from 1835 till the 1900’s. Tile from front or top is perfect, the back edge has some manufacturing imperfections, as does one corner, box shows shelf wear plus residue from price tags, but it still is in pretty good condition, as well.

This plate is to commemorate the 300 th birth date of the city of Springfield, Massachusetts. This is all on the back of the plate: "The Hall Galleries – Albert Steiger Company – Springfield Tercentenary – 1636- 1936 - Copeland Spode England." The
plate measures 10-1/2 inches across, and has a tiny rim flaw. The rim has pictures of historical importance to that town, and the center of the plate has the John Pynchon House featured.

Lima, Ohio – Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church – 1954 Photo Plate This 10-inch plate celebrates the 100th birthday of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Lima Ohio, and was made in Alliance, Ohio by Kettlesprings Kilns. It is numbered: T31 and the rear has information about the foundation of this church by 138 members. A great find for anyone doing genealogy of family who attended this house of worship. The front has a photo of the current church on the center, and the rim has religious symbols and photos of the first and second church over the 100-year span. Color is cream and green, and still has its original wire hanger attached, to display as a wall hanging.

Backstamped: The Old Cane Ridge Meeting House—Built in 1791. Scene Of Famous Cane Ridge Revival of 1801. Here, on June 28, 1804, was born the movement in America Protestantism known as the Christian Church, or Disciples of Christ. Located 8 miles east of Paris, Kentucky.

1943 Hillcrest Brethren Church Plate – Dayton, Ohio – Commemorative Plate This church was founded in Dayton, Ohio in 1882, got their first building in 1899, the second building in 1912, and another in January 17, 1943, which this plate commemorates. The plate measures 9-7/8 inches and was made by Kettlesprings Kilns of Alliance Ohio. Back of the plate tells about the original design taken from the Patrick Henry Church of Richmond, Va. and the front of the plate pictures the church building, and has Dedicated 1943 at the top and Hillcrest Brethren Church – Dayton, Ohio written at the bottom. The church is located at 15 W. Hillcrest Avenue in Dayton, Ohio, and when it was first formed it was as a German Baptist Church. This plate is in good / used condition with minor surface scratches.

First Methodist Church – Bedford, Indiana – 1954 Photo Plate An April 1954 collector plate, made by World Wide Art Studios, of Covington Tennessee using the Rhythm Style Plate, by Homer Laughlin. The front of the 10-1/8 inch plate shows the photo, name and location of the church, and the rear has a brief history, plus the two maker backstamps. Condition: no chips, or cracks, and one small area of loss of gold trim around the rim.
