This cast metal inkwell, has the figures of a crowing rooster and a hen on an Art Nouveau style tray with ornate scroll designs and flowers. The hinged well also has a scroll design on the lid and lifts to find a glass insert which is in very good condition with only some roughness around the outer edges and some old ink residue. This circa 1900 inkwell is unmarked and measures 7" across by 5 ½" deep and 3 ¼" tall. It is in very good condition with only normal wear from age.
