Featured for your enjoyment is this stunning pair of old Norcrest bone china vases. They have cherubs seated on the side with applied flowers and lots of gold overlay. Starting with the left vase. We have a cherub that does appear that it should be holding something. However, I can find no evidence that it ever was. The inside of it’s hands are glazed. There is no indent for an instrument or other item so I do believe it was just in that pose. Next to it’s feet are 3 lovely applied flowers. A purple and yellow pansy and 2 delicate roses. To it’s head the vase has embossed grape cluster hanging from their vine. It is in white with an antiqued look. it has a lot of gold work both front and back. It is in excellent condition. It stands 8" tall by about 4 1/2" across. The right one is another cherub. He is holding a stick which appears to be pointing towards a cornucopia. His outstretched arm appears to have a beckoning look. Also at his feet are 2 delicate roses with the same grape vine pattern above his head. This one does have a scroll broken off the right handle as shown. No other damage was noted. It stands 8" tall by 4 1/2" wide. Both are marked with an impressed mark of an N C.
