Circa: circa 1920's Type: Red Brass Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: unknown
Wonderful old door bell/buzzer made of solid red brass. Great piece of architectural hardware for those restoring an old home. This would look great on an old Brown Stone building. The brass is almost 1/8" thick! I have left the wonderful bronze coloring on it. There are streaks of red brass showing through. The bakelite button centered on the scroll pattern front is in excellent order. Was working on a 9 volt battery. This can be hooked up to your existing door bell. When pushed it will ring a small bell inside to let the visitor know it was rung. Inside your normal door bell will ring. The entire fixture measures 5 ½" tall by 3 1/8" wide and 2 ¼’ thick. Attaches to the wall inside with a small screw on the outside to access the innards. It will need new wirers as the originals are very old. |
