Antique Ridinger Etching Revolutionary Soldier on Horse
This is an antique print or etching of a soldier on a horse. It was printed around 1740 and is in excellent condition. On the bottom it has, in three languages "Changer a Droite, Changieren Rechfs, and Varaitio ad Dextram". This, in english is "To Change is Right". In small print direcly under the picture reads "avec P.S.C.M." and "J E Ridinger inv. des. et. exc. Aug Vend". The print and frame are both in very good condition. It measures 27 by 22 inches and has stunning detail.

Antique 1741 Ridinger Etching of a Deer in the Woods
This is an antique etching of a deer in the woods by J. Ridinger. This print is dated 1741. It is also numbered 17. It measures 20 by 17 inches and is in excellent condition. The paper is great and has no blotches or other imperfections. The inscription along the bottom is in a very eleganct script and appears to read "Anno 1698 haben thro Hoch Furltz: Durche: Alexander Sigismundus Herzog von der Pfaltz u: Bilchoff zu Auglpurg diefes Wild fo allein einen gantz weiffen Kopff gehabt in dem Algow selbst gepurfchet". The bottom right corner reads "J. EL. Rudinger del. sc. et. excund 1741" that is the German spelling of his signature (the u with umlauts). There is an umlaut above the u. It is a stunning print and would display beautifully in your collection, and could very well be a good investment. Similar prints sell in art galleries, both online and off for around 450.00-650.00. Ridinger is famous for his depictions of animals.
