White Pottery Swirled Mixing Bowl Hand Thrown Turned.
Newer Handmade 10 inch Mixing Bowl. Heavy Stoneware like pottery - tan clay.
It has been hand incised on bottom: DAKA - 3 - RCY.
The exterior has an upper ring and swirls which extend up from the base. The interior is rings which can be felt.
NO chips or scratches. One possible 1 1/2 inch hairline extending downward from rim. There is some greyish wear inside bottom which may be metal marks - they are very light and I can't decide if they are marks or part of the glaze.
It measures 5 inches high X almost 10 1/2 inches diameter at top.
The glaze is a thin white with some drip runs. It does not completely cover the pottery - allowing specks from grains of sand to show. Has the usual lumps and tiny bubbles of hand thrown pottery.
It's a very pretty bowl and would look lovely on a cupboard top. Nice addition to a Country Cottage or Shabby Chic Decor.
