This beautiful Red Quilted Suede Shoulder Handbag is from I. Magnin & Co., where I spent my youth working in various stores, and marveled every day at the deeply-rooted family influence that made the stores, and name, synonymous with grace, style, and haute couture.
A handbag design that is up to date in style with its rich, vibrant soft quilted red suede, a top-zip opening, and an inside zip pocket sporting the I. Magnin name on a gold plate tag. The zipper pull is adorned with a red suede tassel, held elegantly with a goldtone hardware accent.
The bag has never been use, still has its sale tag attached ($95.00), and measures apx. 12" x 9" x 2-1/2" in size.

BOTTEGA VENETA Background - Marco Polo Collection
A dream come true in this authenticate BOTTEGA VENETA Backpack from the Marco Polo black/brown design family. This is a very classy piece that is well designed for comfortable use, well constructed, and very RICH LOOKING.
It has been very lightly and gently used with no visible tears, spots, or wear. The straps and hardware are in great condition and both magnetic closures snap to perfection.
This bag has been well taken care of and housed in its dust bag when not in use.
The bag still has the original plastic/metal identification tag attached (see picture), with the cloth/material Certificate of Authenticity tag secured under the inner zip pocket. Inside bag lining is intact, and has a snap closure pocket-pouch on the front of the pack which is excellent use for a cell phone, keys, or anything in need of quick retrieval.
Purchased at the Bottega Veneta store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills around early 90's, this is truly a rare find. I was told by a retired designer for Bottega that the Marco Polo line is no longer in production, thus making this a nice collector piece as well. Comes in its original "home" - BV dust bag.(was told original price was in the $800-900 range brand new - time frame estimated at early 90's.)

Bone with Brown trim Dooney Bourke Shoulder Bag
This is a bone with brown trim shoulder bag sporting a Dooney & Bourke All-Weather Leather logo patch on the bag front. There is not a tag on the inside of the bag.
There are no visible marks or tears on the outer part of bag; the gold slide hook closure shows light wear; and inside the bag the leather flap portion is stained - see picture.
This is a very good looking bag with lots of life left for use. It has a front open-pocket under the flap; a back open flap pocket; and a zip pocket inside the back. The lining is in good condition. A good cleaning and brushing may soften the area that is stained.

Vintage Handmade Silk Oriental Coat -ca.1800's

A true work of art in this turn-of-the-century, handmade silk coat/jacket with braided trim and interspersed floral designs. The pictures truly do not do justice to this exquisitely designed oriental style piece...the richess of the black silk, the palest of pink and mint green floral embroidered hand-sewn appliques, braided trim in soft beige and mint green, and with two slender tapered ties that hang down the front of the coat extending from the last button closures...can only fully appreciated once in hand.
This piece is in excellent shape for its age, with only very slight discoloring on the braid trim in few areas; one light mark on the outside (see picture), and a few water marks on the inside pale blue silk lining. There are no tears or snags in the material - inside and out, and the colors are still quite vivid in muted tones
Truly a conversation piece that can be with silk pants as a jacket, or as a dress with tights. I would equate the size to run possibly around a size 5-6 (American sizing), but be sure to review the measurements listed below for a better picture of proper sizing
Note of interest: This hand-sewn piece when purchased many years ago at an auction in Seattle was included in some items from the Mary Pickford collection, and touted as a garment that she actually wore. Unfortunately, paperwork from the auction has long since been misplaced.
Cost Dimensions: 16" underarm across front; 14" around the collar; 22" from underarm to coat and (length); 30" from top shoulder to coat end (length); 16" across waist area; 25" measure across bottom of coat; back has slit opening.
A piece that brings to mind a time period where quality materials and style spoke volumes in grace and elegance in wear.
