WW II U.S. Army "Sweetheart "Pillowcase The war years were a desparate and romantic time when sweethearts were separated while training at Camp Forrest, Tenn. This keepsake fits a 16.5 x 16.5" pillow. The additonal 2.5" fringe dresses this brilliant golden, hand painted silk, with cotton yellow back side. The expression of love remained in my Aunt's heart, but the soldier never made it home. I'm including two 1941 love letters.

Mini-Iron Anchor This 2 3/4" anchor has me baffled. It simply was part of my 90 year old Dad's trinket tray. It's steel or Iron and has obviously been in water judging from the corrosion. I can't make out the writing, except USA for sure, but it does look like it's marked. Dad had a nephew in the Navy during WW II, perhaps this was a souvenir. Someone will know and maybe have a treasure.
