1984 Nisbet 14" Peter Bull Zodiac Bear Limited Edition This wonderful like new House of Nisbet, 1976-1989, Limited Edition, jointed arms & legs, 14" bear is from the Peter Bull line of Zodiac bears. Peter Bull, a devotee of astrology and co-owner of a London tearoom called "Zodiac: the Astrological Emporium", had a series of 12 books published in the Zodiac Bear series. Nisbet re-created each of the characters from the series of 12 childrens' books and this bear is "Leo". 1980's Nounours French "Lafayette" Teddy Bear A rare, very collectible, near new condition, very plush 16" teddy bear made in France and tag is in French language. Nounours was founded in 1963 and although some manufacturers failed during the 1970's & 1980's, several were bought by Nounours, which by the 1990's, was responsible for 80% of all French stuffed-toy. Lafayette has a red and a white feather is his black hat. White is a French royal color and red is the color of Saint Denis, patron saint of Paris.
