Right of publishing transferred to the American Tract Society. This hard back book, 5" X 7.5", 1 lb. 1 ounce, is in excellent condition with none of the 488 pages written on, torn, or missing. In the front pages and back pages there are brown mottled marks as shown in photos, but all other pages are clean. A few of the 29 chapters are: God; Man; Conversion; Prayer; Antichrist; Death; Heaven; Hell; etc. The book hardcover is worn & faded but sturdy and tight. I combine orders to save postage. 1945 Thomas Hart Benton Monograph Amer Artist Group This hardback excellent condition book is a 1945 American Artists Group Monograph of Thomas Hart Benton, 1889-1975, an American Muralist born in Neosho, Mo. in a family of polical power & influence. There is a foreword written by Mr. Benton who trained at the Art Institute of Chicago and Latin Quarter in Paris and his paintings hang in the Metropolitan & Brooklyn Museums of Art plus many other museums. The cover of this monograph is a self-portrait painted in 1926 and was featured on the cover of Time Magazine in December, 1934. There is one color image and 58 black & white images of Mr. Benton's paintings in this monograph. There is no damage or markings on the pages, it's in fantastic condition. Satisfaction guaranteed. He bagan writing "Roll, Jordan, Roll" in 1962 after a dacade of reviewing slave plantation records, family papers, slave narratives, and travelers' accounts. He has been published many times.
