Circa: 1960s Condition: Excellent Size: 36 Type: Blouse Manufacturer: Villager-Unknown Vintage Cotton Villager(?) Print Blouse with Roll-up Sleeve
If this shirt isn't from The Villager, I'll eat my hat. Well, maybe not one of my vintage hats.
But I am almost certain that this blouse is a Villager even though there is no tag to prove it.

Sanfordized (made from pre-shrunk fabric) overall cotton print cool and carefree blouse with a roll-up sleeve. It has the look and feel of Villager. I lived in Villager brand clothes when I was a teenager so I would know--in the same way a person working at a bank can spot a counterfeit dollar bill. You just know.
This blouse is the real deal from the 1960s. Peter Pan collar, wear-out shirttail, button up front. We loved this style--one of the first that didn't force you to tuck in from morning til night. It was great. This is great. And cute as a button.
The print is a potpourri of old fashioned things: phonographs, large wheel bikes, portraits, grandfather clocks, fans and on and on it goes. And the colors are so sixties! Orange is the signature color of the period and here its paired with yellow with a little brown thrown in for good measure.
The tag says its a size 36. Blouses then were sized by bust fullness. Lets also go by measurements to insure a good fit.:
Bust: 36-37" Waist Area: 36" Sleeve Length (Rolled Up):9" Underarm to Hem:12"
I remember wearing this style myself. (Am I giving my age away?) I loved these blouses and wore them with skirts mostly. Pleated skirts as I remember. But now I can see them with anything--jeans, pants, shorts, whatever is useful.
Of course The Villager was a favorite brand in the 60s of teens and young tweens. The little Peter Pan Collar was commonly seen in junior high schools, high schools, and colleges.
This cute little cotton blouse is very Villager. The overall print (old fashioned images) in yellows and oranges is versatile and stylish, even now. The roll-up sleeve is comfortable and good even under a sweater. Can be worn out or tucked in, as you choose.
This one is in great condition. No holes, tears, rips, odors or stains.
This is a great little blouse for kicking back--with skirts, jeans, shorts or capris. Of course you can tuck in --if you really want to-- and wear it with a jacket, or open it completely and wear it with a tank top(which will allow a few more bust inches). However you wear it, I promise it will take you back in time.
