This reproduction 1940s day dress was made by us here at Vintage Dress and Costume! We used vintage *Hollywood Pattern (brand name) to make this dress, and are including it to our catalog of special order dresses. What is better than a shirtwaist for comfort and ease of dressing?

Shirtwaist dresses of the 40s usually had a straight or pleated skirt, and button up "shirt-like" bodice with either short sleeves, 3/4 sleeves or long sleeves.
With this particular "CHERYL" dress, the small floral print fabric is an authentic 40s reproduction fabric. The short sleeved bodice boasts unique front pockets with matching vintage buttons (with a rhinestone center) as trim, which provide an interesting detail. The "shirt" opening boasts a row of these buttons, while the zipper closure on the left side under the arm provides additional room for ease in dressing.
The skirt has an A-line overall presentation with a pleated panel in the front of the dress. A 2-inch print self-fabric covered buckle belt is included.
