Pretty in Pink?
This little Jonathan Logan dress from the late 1960s is as cute as a button. Made of cotton voile--a great contemporary, lightweight, spring fabric--it boasts a shirtwaist bodice with covered button accents and long sleeves with double-buttoned cuffs. (The dress is lined, so no slip necessary!) Small flirty ruffles adorn the hem and the cuffs.
Jonathan Logan was (and still is!) one of the most sought-after designers of the junior sizes in the late 60s, and always came up with the perfect blend of demure and sophisticated. Jonathan Logan tag is present.
The size on the tag is " 5 Petite", but vintage sizes can be confusing, especially from this period. I would call it XS, (maybe XXS) but I will go by measurements for a good fit, especially the measurement for sleeve length. (This is measured from shoulder to wrist with a straight arm).

This dress is in excellent condition, and has a 3-inch, usable hem (although the ruffle would have to be moved down to lengthen the hem--but its possible). The original, functional plastic zipper down the back is present. I see no spots, stains, holes, or odors. Its clean and ready to wear.
This is a great dress for a wedding or dressy event, but could be worn in a more casual environment as well. I see it with Mary Janes--with or without a heel--and could be used with pale or striped tights as is popular now. These little mini-dresses give a great leggy look, and are right in style today! |
