Rare Panoramic Antique Print Guardian Angel Protecting Children on Bridge, The Complete Full-Picture Scene!!! / Artist: Lindberg This is a wonderfully special and rare antique print featuring a beautiful Guardian Angel watching over and protecting two sweet, but scared, little children (probably Brother & Sister) who are attempting to cross an old, wooden rickety bridge by themselves. The older girl appears to be comforting the frightened young boy. This is definitely a classic, famous, and well-loved scene. However, this particular piece offers something unique and different. This print features the complete Guardian Angel scene in a rare panoramic-style. This is very special and uncommon, as the majority of print with this scene normally feature only about half of the complete picture. This fully detailed scene also includes a house, waterfalls, and forest in the background. The bottom right hand corner of this print includes the artist’s rarely seen signature, "Lindberg". According to my research, this famous Lindberg picture was produced by the Fratelli Bonella Company in Italy and titled, "Heilige Schutzengel". This print has beautiful colors throughout and is in excellent original condition. The frame is original to the print. This is a large, gold-painted molded wood frame with nice decorative ribbed corners. The frame is in excellent original condition with some very minor wear to the old, gold finish. Whimsical Scene of Beautiful Yg Lady Dancing w/ an Angel, Antique Victorian Watercolor / Artist: Mrs R.O. Kohler C. This is a charming and delightful hand-done antique Victorian watercolor, signed by the artist with their initials, "J.H." or "H.J." The initials are interlocking and on top of one another so it’s difficult to make out which initial is of the first and last name. The whimsical scene features a beautiful young lady dancing with a sweet little angel. Both have endearing faces and their playful movement is captivating. The soft pastel colors and lovely details are very appealing. The watercolor is especially desirable in its complimentary, original, oval wood frame. The frame is decorated with a delicately applied metal floral design at the top. There is a tiny bit of this missing. The frame retains its original gold finish, original glass, wire hanger, and original black paper backing with its original label from the frame shop in Philadelphia where this piece was originally sold. Also on the back of the paper backing is a signature which reads, "Mrs. R.O. Kohler C…". (Catstanzha?) (cannot make out her last name - see photo) The watercolor and frame are in excellent original condition, except for the bit of floral decoration I mentioned earlier. Virgin Mary & Baby Jesus w/ Angels in Garden Antique Print "Engel-Madonna II" / Artist: Mileto This is a large, lovely, and inspiring antique print of the Virgin Mary sitting on a garden bench holding Baby Jesus. There are two angels with them. The scene is very tranquil. The colors are bright and vibrant. At the bottom of this print partially covered by the frame in the lower left corner is the famous artist's signature, Mileto. This picture is titled (but not signed), "Engel-Madonna II". The original, molded wood frame retains its original gold paint. Original torn paper backing, original glass, and wire hanger. This is a large compelling print in excellent original condition. Saint Cecilia 'The Holy Virgin' Playing Organ w/ 3 Angels, Lg Antique Sepia-Tone Print This is a very large and compelling sepia-tone antique print of the lovely Saint Cecilia, (also known as 'The Holy Virgin') playing the organ (as she's famous for) and looking up at three adorable little angels visiting her. The closest angel is offering her a shower of roses. Saint Cecilia prayed to the saints and angels to guard her virginity. The angels and Saint Cecilia have very expressive eyes. This is a captivating antique print with beautiful details. This print is in excellent original condition. The oak frame and the matting are very complimentary to the print. They are also in excellent original condition. Nice old wavy glass and original wire hanger. Missing paper backing. Circa 1910.

"Saint Cecilia (Latin: Sancta Caecilia) is the patron saint of musicians and Church music. Cecilia was a young noblewoman of Rome. A devout Christian, she had pledged herself to chastity. Venerated in both East and West, she is one of the eight women commemorated by name in the Canon of the Mass.

Since the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries Cecilia is represented as playing the organ, evidently to express the idea that while musicians played at her wedding, she sang in her heart to God alone. When the Academy of Music was founded at Rome (1584) she was made patroness of the institute, whereupon her veneration as patroness of church music became more universal. The organ is now her most usual attribute."

Rare Victorian Print, The Annunciation, Mary & Gabriel / Artist: Fra Angelico This is a rare and special Victorian print titled, "The Annunciation" by famous early Italian Renaissance painter, Fra Angelico (c.1395-1455). In Italy, he became known as "Il Beato Angelico", meaning "The Blessed Angelico", which was in reference to his skills in painting religious subjects. He was also known to his contemporaries as "Fra Giovanni da Fiesole", meaning "Friar or Father John from Fiesole". This famous scene depicts the Virgin Mary with Archangel Gabriel. Gabriel is visiting Mary to reveal to her that she will give birth to Jesus. Gabriel has been called "The Angel of Life", and is said to appear to people when they are on the brink of a new beginning, especially a conception or birth. Gabriel is known to be the bearer of Good News! This inspirational piece is in excellent original condition with great detail. It is hand-colored with special gold highlights. At the bottom of the print, there are two sets of words written in Italian. I cannot make out the top row of letters, but I believe the bottom row of letters read as follows: "VIRGINIS INTACTE CVM VENER IS ANTE FIGVRAM PRFTEREVMDO CAVE NE SILEATVR AVE". The frame and glass are original to the print and the wood frame is painted gold. Original wood back. The original paper backing is torn, but there is writing at the top and bottom that is fully intact. The top reads: "T.W. Norman & Co., Art Dealers, Pictures and Frames, 44 Bromfield St., Factory 47 Field, Boston". The bottom reads: "2540 FIRENZE. – Museo di S. Marco. – L’Annunziazione della Vergine. Beato Angelico." (2540 Florence - The Announcement of the Virgin – The Blessed Angelico) Old, original wire hanger. Circa late 1800’s.

This hard to find scene features The Blessed Virgin Mary being greeted by the Archangel Gabriel. A dove shines down on both of them. Next to Mary’s feet sits a vase of white lilies. In this famous scene, Gabriel visits Mary to announce to her that she will be a mother by conceiving her son, Jesus, through the Holy Spirit. “The Annunciation” Antique Print of Mary & Archangel Gabriel w/ 3 Scenes of Adam & Eve This is a special antique print of "The Annunciation". Artists have portrayed this famous scene in many ways, but this particular picture is quite unique and hard to find. This picture features Archangel Gabriel and the Virgin Mary. Gabriel is visiting Mary to reveal to her that she will give birth to Jesus. The scenery behind them is picturesque and the fine details of the Temple that surround them are incredible. Both of their expressions are captivating and inspiring. This picture is vibrant and colorful. On this same print, below Mary and Gabriel, are three famous scenes of Adam and Eve. The first scene depicts God warning Adam (while Eve is sleeping) not to touch the apples. The second scene depicts both Adam and Eve plucking the apple from the Forbidden Tree with the serpent (devil) wrapped around the tree. The third and last picture shows both Adam and Eve feeling ashamed for their actions as they are banished forever from the Garden of Eden. An angel hovers behind them. This picture was originally painted by the famous Italian, early Renaissance artist, Pietro Perugino (1448-1523). The center panel of this print features the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus with the 3 angels above and a saint beside them. The left hand panel depicts Saint Michael in his famous shield of armor, sword, and scale. The right hand panel features Archangel Raphael with young Tobias. This entire print has great detail-work with bold, beautiful, and crisp colors. The expressions on their faces are so real and full of love. Beautiful, original, gold-painted wood frame with a unique checkered, diamond design and nice decorative outer molding. “The Immaculate Conception” Virgin Mary w/ Angels Everywhere! X-Lg & X-Rare! Antique Victorian Litho Print / Artist: Murillo This is an extra large and very impressive antique Victorian lithograph print of "The Immaculate Conception" featuring The Blessed Virgin Mary w/ over a dozen angels surrounding her! I believe the full title of this picture is, "The Immaculate Conception of the Venerable Ones, or of Soult". Although this print is neither signed by the artist, nor actually titled, I do know that this famous picture was originally painted in 1678 by the great listed artist, Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (1618-1682). Today, the original painting currently hangs in a Museum at The Prado of Madrid in Spain. As for this gorgeous antique print, it is very hard to find and its large size is definitely rare. The picture is bright and colorful and the details are just beautiful. This print is in excellent original condition, except for some very minor particles under the glass, which does not take away from the beauty of this piece or the overall appearance. The print is in its original wood and gesso frame. The frame is massive in size and very decorative with bold gesso designs throughout. The frame is in excellent original condition and retains its original gold finish. It has the old glass and old wire hanger. Circa 1900.
