The piece itself has several very interesting and unique characteristics. This captivating piece has a wonderful texture and patina with fancy raised lettering. It is a rare, masculine, and very substantial. The bottom left corner is inscribed, "National Electrotype Company, N.Y. Copyright 1928" and the bottom Fancy frame with gadrooned edge. The back of this piece is just as wonderful as the front. The back of the plaque explains the quest for the unknown author. It appeared in the N.Y. Times Book Review in 1921. There is mohair between the front and the paper back. Optional hanger or metal stand. This piece is in excellent original Condition. |
