This is a shapely, fancy antique Victorian plate with an inspiring scene of a cherub resting above a woman near a brook. Lovely background scenery. Beautiful colors and wonderful detail work.

| The cherub and woman both have very appealing and angelic faces. Artist signature in the lower right corner reads, "Kaufman". Fancy embossed edge with gold leaf highlights. There is a blue manufacture's mark on the back. (see photo) This piece is in excellent original condition, except for a very minuet dot near the left edge of plate – see photo. Circa 1900. |
