This is a beautiful dome, star shaped, glass paperweight. The 7 points on the star are decorated and highlighted in gold. The convex center has a very pleasing picture of a young holy man / saint holding a crucifix and necklace. Possibly Saint Gonzaga. Delicate white flowers frame the scene. The print is highlighted in gold. There is an old, gold colored felt on the bottom of this piece. This is a heavy and substantial paperweight with a hard to find religious motif. This piece is in excellent original condition with age appropriate wear. Circa 1920’s. |
