This is a large and very captivating print depicting the Holy Family celebrating the profound wonders of the rosary. Mary and Jesus hold 2 rosaries while sitting atop a pedestal that reads, "Ave Maria", meaning Hail Mary, the universal prayer to the Virgin Mary. A very unique halo of stars surrounds them. At the top of Mary’s blouse are the words, "ROSARIO", meaning rosary. Expressions of sacred love and peace, grace and purity prevail. The subtle coloring of this print enhances and underscores the serenity of the rosary prayer. Very nice grain-decorated, original oval wood frame. Black trim along the inside and outside perimeter of frame. The frame retains the original glass, backing, and wire hanger. This piece is in excellent original condition with a great, old patina. Circa 1910.
