This is a rare and special antique Victorian print of Mary holding Baby Jesus in what appears to be the manger. Three young angels gaze over Mary’s shoulder in a curious manner, trying to take a glimpse of Baby Jesus. The detail is exquisite and the colors are crisp and clear. The lighting illuminates their faces, showing excellent detail. The original Victorian, gold-painted, wood frame has fancy gold gesso in a delicate shell motif with a beautiful patina. Original glass and old wire hanger. Missing paper backing. This piece is in excellent original condition.
