| She’s holding a large vase filled with a bouquet of fabulous Victorian flowers. This very special Victorian print is so pleasing to look at. The print is large and the colors are bright and vibrant. When cleaning this wonderful piece, we discovered an interesting label on the back of the print itself. (see photo) This is how we discovered the title of this piece. It even has a neat advertisement for ‘Agents Wanted’. Also, on the front lower left corner of the print, covered by the frame, reads, "Published for P.O. Vickers. Augusta. ME.". The print has a slight tear on the left side, near her arm and on the right side it has a slight scuff and slight tear. These very slight tears do not detract from the beauty of this print. The large, original wood frame is decorated with fancy gesso. This piece retains its original wavy glass, wood back, and wire hanger. Circa 1890’s. |
