| This is a unique and charming antique print of 3 handsome cows / calves drinking from a pail. They are in the barn and the frame is shaped like the barn door. The print is signed in the lower right hand corner, "F.B. Townsend". These are beautiful detailed cows in a sweet setting with beautiful soft colors. The original frame is very special. Solid choice oak has been cleverly cut to look like a barn door. The frame has a gold inset and original, decorative metal hinges. The frame is in excellent original condition. The hinges have very minor age cracks and the lower hinge is missing a small piece. The hinges are just for decorative purposes. The frame retains a beautiful original finish. Original glass and original wood back. New wire hanger. This very special and enchanting piece is in excellent original condition. Circa 1910. |
