This is an lovely antique religious print of Jesus kneeling on the ground beside a large boulder with his hand’s clasped in prayer. As Jesus gazes up to the Heavens in the dark night sky, a beam of holy light shines down upon him. Although this print is not titled, nor signed by the artist, the title given to this picture is, "Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane" (sometimes titled, ‘Christ in Gethsemane’). I believe the artist who originally painted this famous scene was either the famous artist, Heinrich Hofmann, or another well-known artist by the name of E. Goodman. Original metal frame with decorative wood graining and gold highlights. Both the print and frame are in excellent original condition. Original glass and original metal hanger. Circa 1920’s.
