| This is a charming antique motto print by the manufacturer, Gibson. This is an unusual and hard to find sentiment with nice fancy lettering. The motto/poem is written by famous poet, A.W. Meek. The bottom center of print is stamped in very small letters with the manufacturer, "Gibson". The poem is ‘framed’ by dainty colorful flowers, beautifully highlighted in gold. Lightly printed below the poem is a picture of a farmer with a horse plowing in a field with trees alongside. This print is in excellent original condition. The molded wood frame is quite complimentary and decorative. It has a rich dark burgundy color with texture and gold highlights. The frame is also in excellent original condition. It retains the original glass and metal hanger. This is a cheerful little motto! Circa 1920’s. |
