Circa: 1927 Condition: Excellent Original Condition Size: Frame Measurements: Height - 4 ½” Width - 6 ½” Manufacturer: A Buzza Motto / The Buzza Company, MPLS, Minn Author: Lawrence Hawthorne
This is a delightful antique Buzza Mother motto titled, "To Mother" and written by famous poet, Lawrence Hawthorne. The picture is bright and vivid with a man and woman dressed in fancy formal attire. The sentiment is very sweet. Below the poem is reads, "A Buzza Motto c.1927". Beside that it reads, "From the writings of Lawrence Hawthorne". Also, the letter ‘H’ can be found on the far right of the print within the fence. I believe it’s an initial belonging to the illustrator of this beautiful scene. The original molded and textured wood frame retains the original black color paint with gold highlights. Both the print and frame are in excellent original condition. Original glass and metal hanger. Missing paper backing. Circa 1927. |
