This is an original 8 X 10 glossy used in the publicity campaign for "The Lion in Winter" when it first came out. The photo depicts a scene in which Peter O'Toole (as Henry II) kisses his mistress, Alais (played by Jane Merrow), while his wife, Queen Eleanor (played by Katharine Hepburn) looks on. Any glare showing on this photo is from our lighting and is not in the original.
These photos are part of a large private collection compiled during the 1960s and 1970s, and were found in the collector's estate. The condition is generally as shown in this listing, but please bear in mind that the large collection of unframed photos have been in the late collector's files for 40 years. She was prominent in the film and fashion worlds, traveled extensively, and the collection traveled with her.
