E-09
Vintage Native American Theme Framed Needle Point Wall Hanging A real "knock your socks off" needle point featuring beautifully done items from the Four Corners area, Hopi, Zuni & Navajo, rustically framed & ready for an appreciative home.

The rustic frame is approximately 22" square & sets off an extremely well executed needle point "painting". It includes a Hopi clay pot, a Kachina Dancer, a Navajo rug & a squash blossom necklace which could be Zuni.

The colors are quite true to form for the items, even the necklace is done with metallic silver thread. This has been a favorite of mine, purchased from the estate sale of a local artist.

The frame is signed on the back: Teena Sterlachian Christmas 1978. I do not know if the artist was Native American, but her home was heavily decorated with Native American items. My photos do not do the piece justice.

The Navajo rug is actually a light brown with rust & black designs. The Hopi pot is a deep beige with rust & black designs. Thank you for shopping at The Treasure Chest. (Item ID:E-09)
