8 Vintage Towle Sterling Butter Knives -
A beautiful & elegant set of 8 sterling silver individual butter knives in the Candlelight pattern, dating from 1934, for your appreciation.
This elegant set of 8 individual butter knives are from the collection of Col. Donald Davis, U. S. Army (Ret'd). Col. Davis is a former child actor in the famous Mack Sennett movies under the names of Dan Marion & John Henry, Jr. He has traveled & lived throughout the world & is still an avid collector.
The knives measure 5 7/8" long & are marked on one side: TOWLE Sterling Pat. 1934 Candlelight.

Sterling Silver & Crystal Wine Coaster - Beautiful!

Sterling Sauce Ladle - Gold Wash Bowl - 1901
An elegant & ornate sterling silver sauce ladle with a beautiful gold wash bowl.
The ladle measures 5" long. It is in excellent condition. The ladle is marked "925/1000 Sterling". It also has a hall mark that I cannot make out. The back of the handle is engraved: "Oct. 24, 1901".
The end of the ornate handle is engraved on the front: "Marion".
This is a truly beautiful art nouveau-style ladle & will make a wonderful addition to your table for fine dinning.

Vintage 6 ALVIN Sterling Spoons - Sorento
A fabulously beautiful set of 6 teaspoons by Alvin Silver Company for your appreciation.
The teaspoons are in excellent condition & very heavy silver -- the six spoon weight 6 1/2 oz. They have the Alvin Silver Co. trade mark on the back of each spoon with the word STERLING.
The six spoons are ornately engraved with what appears to be an elaborate EP.
This particular pattern is Sorento by Alvin, dating 1905. The company was later purchased by Gorham Silver Co.

Sterling Silver Ornate 925/1000 Sugar Spoon - Chicago 1902
A beautiful & very ornate sterling silver sugar spoon engraved on the back of the handle CHICAGO 1902.
The spoon measures approximately 5 5/8" long. The pattern is very ornate with the end of the handle ending in a classic Greek column design with garlanded flowers & flourishes.
As stated, it is engraved: CHICAGO '02 on the back of the handle. It is also marked: 925/1000, a lion rampant in a letter or shield, STERLING & Patent 1898. Even the back of the spoon bowl is decorated with a flower garland & crown -- the entire spoon is beautiful!

Sterling Silver Demitasse Spoons - Set of 9 - 1921
A set of 9 sterling silver demitasse spoons in an elegant Art Deco pattern for your review.
The spoons measure 4 1/8" long & are in excellent condition. Each spoon is marked: G.S. Co. (rampant lion) Sterling Pat'd. 1921.
This was originally placed a 8 but another demi was found in the silver chest for a total of 9 in this pattern. We have not raised the price on this wonderful item.
This set is one of the most elegant I've seen & would make a wonderful addition to your silver service.

19th Century Ornate Sterling Silver City Hall N.Y. Souvenir Spoon
A very lovely, ornate, sterling silver souvenir spoon by Pelletreau, Bennett & Co. for your appreciation.
The spoon is in excellent condition, with a relief design of City Hall Park with tall buildings in the back ground. There are many symbolic emblems associated with N. &Y. on both the front & back of the spoon.
The marks on the back are: STERLING P & B; a furled American flag; & an eagle with it's wings spread upward.

Vintage Engraved Sterling Silver & Nielloware Box - Fantastic!!
A fantastic engraved sterling silver & Nielloware box with burled wood interior for your appreciation.
The box measures 6 3/4" long, 4 3/8" wide & 2 5/8" deep. The box is marked with a hall mark or company logo, & STERLING Thailand Thai......, & what appears to be another hall mark.
The lid has a Nielloware finish with detailed & ornate engravings of fantastically beautiful oriental buildings on the shore of a lake or ocean with a sail boat in the water.
The front of the box is engraved: To Cdr. Oliver Ortman, USNR. In appreciation of his good work and friendship from the Thai Mapping Directory Committee.
The box is extremely well made, solid, with piano hinges for the lid. The inside of the box is a beautifully finished burled wood & an adjustable wood divider that can be removed or changed.
This is truly an unusual sterling silver piece that has only the finest engraving. There are no dents or scratches & the base has only normal base wear to be expected.
We have seen only one piece that even approached this workmanship & that was in a cigarette box presented to Col. Don Davis, U. S. Army, (Rtd.) by an official Thai officer in appreciation for his excellent services.
This makes a wonderful item to add to a box collection or as a decorative display piece of only the best Oriental items. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest.

Vintage Sterling Silver 8" Drink Spoon/Straws - Set of Six
A very nice set of .915 silver straw/stirers measuring 8 inches long & with the Aztec calendar tooled in the bowl of each spoon.
The spoons are marked on the back of the spoon bowl: HECO EN MEXICO; .915; & an artist's stamp but are difficult to read.
The set is in very good condition with only slight distortion in one spoon bowl.
This is the first set we have seen that has the Aztecan calendar -- most are in the shape of a mint leaf -- making these highly desirable & particularly for those persons collecting items with this lovely emblem.

Vintage Sterling Quebec Commemorative Pickle Fork
A very nice sterling silver pickle fork, apparently commemorative of Quebec, Canada, with ornate handle work.
The fork measures 4 1/2" long. It is marked on the back with a small oval logo which states: STERLING, & more letters that we are unable to decipher.
The front of the fork has what appears to be a castle, possibly trees, water fall & maple leaf with: QUEBEC, running vertically up the handle.

Vintage Crystal & Sterling Handled Mug - Art Deco-Style
A lovely & unusual Art Deco-style crystal cup in a silver handled holder for your viewing.
The cup measures 3" high in it's holder & is 3 1/4" in diameter. The silver holder is marked on the handle with: J (2 bars through the letter), O/1, & a stamped symbol with WM within a diamond inside a shield.

Vintage Sterling Silver Basket - Reticulated - Nice!
A lovely reticulated sterling silver basket, ideal for nuts, candy or calling cards, for your inspection & appreciation.
The basket measures approximately 5 7/8" in bowl diameter & 2 7/8" from base to rim of basket.
The base is marked: STERLING Cement Filled Base EL-SIL-CO. There are several tiny dings in the underside of the base, but it is otherwise in very good condition. With the bail up, it is 5 3/4" tall.
The rim has a decorative design with a reticulated pattern for added attraction. This would make a nice small display piece & an added attraction filled with candies or nuts on your favorite side table.

Antique Sterling Silver & MOP Serving Spoon
A lovely sterling silver & mother-of-pearl serving spoon for your review.
The serving spoon measures 8 1/2" in length with a bowl measuring approximately 2 1/2" at it's widest point & 3" in length at it's longest point. There are a couple of small dings in the silver collar below the STERLING mark which is stamped in the collar. There are no hall marks or company names that we can discern.
There is a 2 3/4" mother-of-pearl handle end. There are no chips in the piece but there is an area which appears to be natural on the back of the MOP portion.

Sterling Spoon-Straws - Set of Six - Oriental
A set of lovely & unique sterling silver 9 inch beverage spoon-straws for your appreciation.
The bowl of the spoons are in the shape of Paulownia blossoms & are marked STERLING on the back near the end of the straw connection.
